Fall 2020 Wedding Must-Haves đâ¨
Chances are, you chose the season for your wedding very purposefully.
Maybe you love the romantic appeal of the cozy fall season, perhaps golden yellow and orange are your favorite colors, or maybe you love the treats that are almost mandatory for enjoying fall. Whatever your reason, here are a few additions you must include if youâre planning a fall wedding:
Must-Have #1: Cozy Blankets for Guests
Depending on your location and how early into the fall season youâre planning your wedding, you might be able to hold it outdoors, provided you give your guests something to snuggle up under. Include a basket with soft throw blankets on the way to the seats so those who want a little extra warmth can grab one. You probably donât need one for every guest, but provide enough so that those who donât want to share donât have to.
Must-Have #2: Fall-Themed Foods and Drinks
Pumpkin, maple, apple and cinnamon...there are so many delicious flavors of fall to choose from! Incorporate some of them in your wedding by offering a dessert bar filled with pies and cookies, an apple cider drink station, or maybe offer baking mixes as wedding favors. You could also make the menu fall-themed and offer soups or stews.
Must-Have #3: A Contingency Plan
Summer weddings plan for rain, but you may need to have a backup plan that takes fall weather into account. Depending on where you live, you could have a mild fall with crisp mornings and relatively dry weather, you could experience torrential downpours, and if the year is particularly odd you could have a dusting of snow. Keep the typical weather for your location and time of year in mind, and have a backup plan in case your location is inaccessible, you need to move indoors, or pipes freeze and your reception venue becomes unusable.
Must-Have #4: The Perfect Fall Location
If all the venue options seem a little overwhelming to you, consider trying to match your venue to the season. For example, fall weddings can be in outdoor locations surrounded by leaves or on quaint farms with pumpkin patches and orchards, while the reception can be held in a rustic barn. The more ambience your venue has, the less youâll need to do to create one.
Must-Have #5: Affordable Wedding Rings
Fall is a prelude to the holiday season, and what are we all short on when the holidays approach? Money. While your wedding is certainly a priority, itâs worth keeping in mind that holiday travel, get-togethers, and other related expenses will creep up before you know it. The last thing couples need to do is spend all their money on wedding rings right before the holiday season (or any other time for that matter). Modern Gents provides beautiful, elegant rings without the usual expense.
